William Jennings Bryan was quoted in saying  “Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice. It is not something to be waited for, but rather something to be achieved “and I totally agree with him. As a student being chosen by my teachers to be a candidate of national honor society was deeply honoring. I must admit that this is something that I have been looking forward to since the beginning of my middle school career. To be amongst  the exemplary students who are being considered for the National Junior Honor Society it means that I have achieved my goal of demonstrating my determination and willingness to help people and serve the community.I believe that I have all the quality required for NJHS membership.  I have always been a dedicated student toward my education.  I do believe that Knowledge is one great element in life which leads to the highest success, and it can be acquired in only one way – through diligence and effort (NJHS pillar).over the years I have tried to maintain my grade point average of above 88, which earned me a spot in honor/ap classes.I’m a fast learner, however, these advanced courses require an extensive amount of studying and I’m  always willing to spend hours in reading and improving my skills.   Willingness to work for the benefit of those in need, without monetary compensation or without recognition, is the quality that njhs seek in their membership. As a good citizen, I admire severing the community.I have participated in numerous activities including breast cancer awareness fundraiser, safe Halloween for children at our school and trips to senior center during the holidays.I love volunteering my time for the community and school.I often stay after school to organize and help in the organization of school events such as homecoming floats and holiday decoration.Being a leader does not mean to order actions or to be in charge ,a leader is someone who has a positive influence on others.I believe I’m a great leader in term of influence because i’m a substantial role model for my peers and siblings.I love sharing my knowledge and ideas with other  and assisting them in any  issues or concerns.being a good leader can also be identified through his or her character.I believe that I’m responsible, respecting girl and I treat all the way I want to be treated, with respect and dignity.my personal traits help me in gaining the trust of other.I believe that my skills and abilities be able to contribute to the society most effectively and help me reach my full potential in helping others. My academic achievements, citizenship , service, character and leadership skills are proof for the membership in this program which will be the first step toward my success.I hope in getting selected.
