Triazoles are five-membered ring heterocyclic compounds with three
nitrogen atoms such as 1,2,3 and 1,2,4-triazole as heterocyclic ring.

For a long time, synthesis of heterocyclic compounds has interested
many chemists, because of their potential properties and applications1. For example, the bases
purine and pyrimidine are the main constituents of DNA and RNA of all living
systems. The development
of organic synthesis relays on the innovation of new heterocyclic reagents and
strategies for the synthesis of important compounds such as drugs,2
polymers,3-4dyes and pesticides5-7.
The compounds containing five-membered
ring heterocyclic moiety (1,2,3-triazole) and its derivatives exhibit unique
biological activates, for instance antimicrobial,8-9 anti-HIV,10anti-neoplastic,11 anti-tubercular
very recently anti-phytopathogenic 13. 1,2,3-triazole and its derivatives possess widely different biological
activities Figure 3.  




There are many research work to design novel
1,2,3-triazole compounds with new medicinal and other uses have been reviewed14. Heterocyclic compounds synthesis has developed greatly for the
design of drugs and antibiotics to treat diseases and enhance our quality of
life. Since human pathogens microbes are becoming more resistance to drugs,
more attention is needed for the developing effective medicines. Additionally,
drugs present in the market for treating current diseases are expensive and have adverse side effects1, 15. The incidence of fungal infections are increasing in Saudi
Arabia at an alerting rate, in addition to the increasing incidences of
candidemia and tuberculosis 16-18, presenting a challenge for researchers.
The most frequently encountered pathogen is Candida Albicans. This
encourages us and other researchers to search for an effective drugs for
treatment of such infections. Some examples of commercial drugs and
bioactive molecules bearing 1,2,3-triazole moiety elucidated  in (Figure
