My undergraduate studies in the
Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Asia Pacific, one of the
reputed university in the country by quality, merit and research, has exposed
me to a stimulating academic environment where learning and research go
hand-in-hand. Through the many opportunities I have had here, I have found a
deep interest in research work and a strong aptitude for the type of problem
solving and problem discovery that it involves. My eleven month professional
activities in Tropical Homes Properties Limited and my courses have given me
plenty of exposure to these areas and I strongly believe that I have sufficient
motivation and aptitude to work in this field.
I have good academics at every step
in my undergraduate education. I stood 2nd among 70 graduate students (within
top 3% of the class) with GPA 3.96 out of 4.0. I have secured vice- chancellor
merit list all through and academic excellence award four times in my
undergraduate level of B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Asia
Pacific. During my graduation I carried out my final year thesis on
“Determination of Modulus of Rupture of Concrete made of Recycled
Aggregates” under supervision of Dr. Md. Tarek Uddin, Professor of University
of Asia Pacific, a prominent name in the field of engineering and research.
This project has given me a great exposure to the world of materials .It
required extensive research in terms of establishing an experimental setup. I
have secured 1st position in an event, IUT Cennovation 2013, by giving a poster
presentation of my thesis outcomes. Again, I carried out my project work in
University of Asia Pacific on “Determination of ramp location of Kuril Flyover”
under supervision of Dr. Moinul Hossain, Ex- assistant Professor of University
of Asia Pacific. Besides that material course leads us to a research oriented
assignment, “Recycling of Demolished Concrete as Coarse and Fine Aggregate”. I
have also worked as a team with different researchers and students to identify
effects of different nonlinear structural analysis on finite element models
which results a few journal. Observing the scope and potential research future
of petroleum sector motivated me to move my career toward this sector. New
technologies and scientific theories is expending the petroleum sector all over
the world and My previous thesis on material engineering, research on
nonlinear finite element models and professional experiences give me confidence
that I may find a strong research background from Clausthal University of
Technology on petroleum engineering and will develop beneficial outcomes from
master thesis program by using finite element softwares. As petroleum
engineering is vast in nature so well organized effective curriculum is
required, which is offered by Clausthal University of Technology.
My main research interest is
drilling and production because efficient production and drilling lay behind
the successful and solvent economy of a country. As the resources all over the
world is decreasing day by day and uncontrolled production may causes
catastrophic on economy of nations, this field gain enough interest of mine.
After this sector, reservoir management is another interesting part for me
because underdeveloped and developing nations need expertise to manage their
petroleum exploration stations to avoid unwanted loss of valuable natural
resource and by serving on this field I can take part to the welfare of world
as a whole.
I believe my academic spirit will be
used on development of this sector and will lead me and my team to a position
from where we can contribute to this sector from behalf of my university.
Afterward, this opportunity will build me as a strong Ph.D. candidate with
research background. I am learning German and will continue it after
getting admitted which will help me for spontaneous communication with my
professors and team mates.
