Transformational Leadership

Transformational
leadership builds follower inspiration and performance. The degree, to which a

Gandhi

your interest in this leader?  Why do you want to choose this person?

Gandhi taught
us a story of how a man can make a difference. He was the pre-eminent political
and ideological pioneer of India amid the Indian Independence movement. He led
the non-violence resistance movement against the British colonial rule in India
during the first half of the twentieth century. He spearheaded Satyagraha which
is characterized as the protection from mistreatment through mass civil
disobedience, a theory solidly established upon ahimsa, or total peacefulness.
This idea helped India gain independence as well as inspired developments for
social liberties and opportunity over the world.

 

Known as
‘Mahatma’ (extraordinary soul), Gandhi was the pioneer of the Indian patriot
development against British rule, and is broadly considered as the father of

Fundamentals of
Leadership

Mahatma Gandhi is known as the Father of our
Nation and was instrumental in helping India gain Independence from the British
Rule.

 

He was considered as one of the most
powerful and successful leaders of the World. With no official position, power
or money, from humble beginnings he gained world’s respect, achieved freedom
and left an enduring heritage for every one of us. He embraced an extremely
flighty style of standing up to the British Rulers – Non Cooperation movement,
Satyagraha and all the more imperatively through Non-Violence when 2 World Wars
were battled around that time. He demonstrated that through his whimsical
approach he could oust the British and constrained them to exit from India and granted
Independence to India. He additionally helped control the Government in the
Post-Independence period without possessing any position of Power.
